The Role:
Are you ready to take the next step in your career at one of Australia’s most breathtaking destinations? We’re seeking an experienced Assistant Lodge Manager to support the day-to-day operations of Mount Hart Wilderness Lodge, helping deliver seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.Working closely with the Lodge Manager, the ideal candidate will be a strong hospitality all rounder with a passion for tourism, great organisational and leadership skills, and experience supporting remote operations. You will assist in maintaining high standards across accommodation, dining, and adventure experiences while supporting the ongoing growth and reputation of the lodge.
Key Responsibilities:Support the day-to-day operations of the lodge, including guest services, staff rostering, airwing and tour coordination, and customer service.
Assist with lodge maintenance and presentation, ensuring grounds, facilities, and guest areas are maintained to a high standard, while supporting infrastructure and improvement projects.
Support the recruitment, training, and managing of a diverse seasonal team, fostering a positive workplace culture and professional environment.
Assist with lodge logistics including freight, helicopter and vehicle maintenance and staff logistics.
Work alongside the Lodge Manager to maintain operational efficiency by managing budgets and resource allocation to optimise profitability.
Build strong relationships with local communities, suppliers, and tourism bodies to enhance guest experiences and support lodge initiatives.
Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, safety protocols, and environmental sustainability practices.
Champion exceptional customer service standards and drive sales for dining, accommodation and adventure experiences.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in hospitality, tourism, accommodation, or remote operations.
Minimum of 1 years’ experience in management roles.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to support and motivate a diverse seasonal team while fostering a positive and professional workplace culture.
Hands-on and proactive approach, with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced and remote working environment.
Ability to assist with lodge maintenance and operational coordination, with trade or maintenance knowledge highly regarded.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask across various departments.
Experience with reservations systems, tour operations, or hospitality administration is advantageous.
Passion for tourism, adventure travel, and sustainable tourism practices.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, in a remote environment.
Current manual driver’s licence.

The Role:
As a Line Pilot, you will take Mount Hart guests on incredible adventures across the breathtaking West Kimberley region. Scenic helicopter tours include off-airport landings in spectacular Kimberley destinations.
All Line Pilots will fly R44 aircrafts, ensuring the highest standard of safety, customer service, and professionalism.

Turn your passion for fishing and flying into a once-in-a-lifetime role in the Kimberley.‍We’re on the lookout for a Fishing Guide Pilot to join our team, delivering unforgettable remote fishing adventures by air. This is a hands-on, adventure-driven role combining piloting, guiding, and guest experience in one of Australia’s most spectacular regions.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate aircrafts on helicopter tours across the West Kimberley region, including popular destinations such as Horizontal Falls, Bell Gorge, Isdell Gorge, Charnley Gorge, and Twin Flame Falls, including some off-airport landings in the remote Kimberley.
Conduct pre-flight inspections and daily reporting to ensure all aircrafts are maintained to the highest standards.
Provide exceptional customer service to passengers, ensuring a memorable, knowledgeable, and enjoyable experience.
Collaborate with ground crew and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
Adhere to all aviation regulations and company policies.
Essential Qualifications:
Commercial Pilots Licence (CPL)(H)
CASA Class 1 Medical Certificate
Remote flying experience
Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
Current Single Engine Helicopter (SEH) Flight Review
Current Dangerous Goods Awareness Certificate
Gas Turbine Engine Rating
Desirable: Low Level Rating
Dangerous Goods Awareness Course
Proficient knowledge of Australian aviation legislation
High level of written and verbal communication skills
Driver’s Licence (manual)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
Australian citizenship or appropriate work visa
‍Minimum Experience:
Line Pilot: Minimum 500 flying hours (1,000+ desirable)
Desirable Experience:
Instructor rating Grade 3 or higher
Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Caretaker to join our team during the off-season. This role is crucial in maintaining our grounds, gardens, infrastructure, and facilities to ensure they are in prime condition for the upcoming tourist season.Offseason Role: 1 September 2025 – 19 April 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
Groundskeeping and Landscaping: Maintain lawns, gardens, and landscaped areas. Conduct regular weeding, mulching, and pruning.
Infrastructure Maintenance: Inspect and repair facilities, including lights, fences, roofs, pathways, and tents. Ensure water filtration systems are operational.
Plumbing and Toilets: Run and maintain plumbing systems, ensuring toilets are functioning and flushed regularly. Monitor water systems to prevent blockages and ensure cleanliness.
Pest Control and Fire Risk Management: Monitor and manage pest control measures. Implement fire risk management procedures.
Equipment and Stock Management: Monitor fuel stock levels and pump fuel for incoming aircrafts. Conduct regular checks on machinery and vehicles.
Weather Reporting: Daily rain gauge checks and reporting.
Requirements:
Proven experience in groundskeeping, caretaking, or maintenance roles preferably in remote or tourism settings.
Strong understanding and competency in general maintenance.
Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Working Conditions:
This is a remote position in a wilderness lodge located in the Kimberley region, requiring a willingness to live and work in a remote environment.
Accommodation and meals will be provided as part of the employment package.
The role may require irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.
The Kimberley region is known for its challenging weather conditions, including extreme heat, so the ability to adapt to varying climates is essential.
Qualifications and Requirements:
A valid driver’s license (manual).
Personal car required (must be 4WD with snorkel).
Experience with grounds maintenance, gardening, and landscaping.
Experience with general repairs and maintenance of grounds infrastructure.
Strong understanding of irrigation systems, garden equipment and tooling.
Knowledge of plant care, soil management, and pest control.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.

PRE-REQUISITES FOR EMPLOYMENT
Positive attitude with a willingness to work as an all-rounder.
Full-season availability (late April to late September).
Own accommodation preferred (tent or caravan). Rent applies if accommodation is provided by Mount Hart Wilderness Lodge.
Staff accommodation is twin share. Some single options exist for staff accommodated in bell tents.
Own car (4WD recommended). Diesel fuel can be purchased at Mount Hart.
Meals are provided by Mount Hart (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Meal charges apply.
Due to the short duration of season, unpaid leave is permitted during shoulder seasons only and at management discretion.
Travel costs not included. Staff must arrange their own travel to Mount Hart.
DESIRED
People with additional talents – musicians, entertainers, trade backgrounds.
Experience in tourism or hospitality preferred.
Couples and siblings who are happy to share rooms as staff accommodation is limited!
